Coweta County Certified Arborist
Ever since the 1980s, the ISA (International Society of Arborists) has offered certification to tree care professionals that have at least three years of professional experience in the field, and have passed a rigorous examination that covers all areas of knowledge that are pertinent to the field, and of which anyone who calls themselves a certified arborist has to be well versed. In fact, the ISA certified arborist examination includes 200 questions which cover biology, tree cabling and bracing, construction norms and regulations involving trees, tree identification and selection, and other important topics that are relevant to the field.
This certification lasts for a period of three years, during which time the arborist must continue to take an additional 30 courses in order to recertify at the completion of the initial three years. In addition to the certified arborist qualification, the ISA also offers certifications for utility specialists (those who care for trees and other plants which come into contact with or are in close proximity to electrical cables) and municipal specialists responsible for public vegetation. A board certified master arborist certification is also offered by the ISA to individuals that have advanced education in relevant fields of study and many years of experience working with trees.
Why You Should Hire a Certified Arborist
All living things are complicated biological organisms, and this of course includes trees. Moreover, no two trees are ever exactly alike. As such, in many ways an arborist is a tree doctor, and just like you would never entrust your physical health or that of a loved one to a physician that cannot demonstrate that they have obtained all of the required knowledge and have years of hands on experience, you should not trust an arborist who lacks knowledge and experience. When you hire an ISA certified arborist, you can rest assured that you are hiring a professional tree care specialist that knows how to identify problems and find a solution, no matter how commonplace or unusual an issue is.
The trees on your property really are determining factors that influence the value of your home. If a precarious tree is left unattended to, the problem can easily get out of hand. This can mean costly fixes that could have easily been avoided, damage to your property, or even legal liability if a diseased, damaged, or otherwise problematic tree negatively impacts a property adjacent to yours.
